Project Type: Performance-Based Video Project

Description: This video was created for my Design, Thinking, and Process class at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I had to communicate the word “alleviate” through a time-based, nonverbal medium. I chose an instrumental version of Hometown Glory, a song that has always been healing for me.

Dance has always been a constant passion in my life, giving me the space to feel and process things that words just couldn’t. Being away at college made me miss it more than I expected. The Swarm dance club helped me find my purpose and my calling at SCAD.

For my final project, I wanted to bring together dance and the music that helped me through that homesickness to express the feeling of being alleviated.
